Ardeth H. (Helsel) Facciani

Ardeth H. Facciani, 88, Johnstown, died March 22, 2024, at McCullough Place. Born October 26, 1935, in Johnstown. Daughter of Noah Sanford Sr. and Arvilla (Carns) Helsel. Preceded in death by parents, brothers David B., Noah Jr. "Bob", Theodore "Ted", Claude and Daniel. Survived by loving husband of 68 years Leonard J.; children Leonard Jr. (Michele McClelland), Michael J. (Mea Rinker), Richard J.; grandchildren Angela Schaul, Joseph Facciani, Thomas Facciani, Stephen McClelland, Lara Salvatore, Raquel Facciani, Gabrielle Barnett, Vincent Facciani; great grandchildren Niko, Santino, Zack, Ari, Ethan, Levi, Soleia, Jamie and Landon; siblings Gary (Barbara), Carol Helsel Deardorff McCaffrey (Patrick McCaffrey), Janice Skiles. Ardeth's love story with Leonard spanned almost 74 years after having met at the Masonic Temple in Johnstown. After returning from 17 months in Korea, Leonard proposed to Ardeth at the North Fork Dam. They attended Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship and St. Andrews Catholic Church. Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-7 pm at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 am. Interment Richland Cemetery.
