Amelia L. Wagner-Smith, 85, Johnstown, died July 13, 2025, at home. Born November 8, 1939, in Johnstown. Daughter of Miguel and Pasquala (Ramirez) Alva. Preceded in death by parents, daughter Valerie Jean Schmalz, brother Robert Alva, sisters Elizabeth Mack and Eleanor Valadze; great grandchildren Dominick Hall, Tre Hall, Orahnde Askew, Nichol Dugan, Syrina Raneri; son-in-law Tom Billetdeaux, also, her beloved puppy Buster, Survived by husband Ken Smith; children Denise, Chrisinda and Craig Berry, Felise Robertson and Jerry Istvan, Glenn M. Wagner (Sherry), Anisha Stephens, Amy Lynn Hall (Rodney); sister, Deloris Barto; eighteen grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a long-time member of the Salvation Army Church where she participated in the Home League. She was active in the Woodvale Athletic Club and Johnstown Housing Advisory Committee. Friends will be received Monday from 3 until time of service at 6pm at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
