Amanda Elizabeth Boring, 37, Johnstown, went home to be with our Lord September 4, 2020, a victim of domestic violence. We urge all who read her story to remember her, as we do, and to reflect on the circumstances that lead to her tragic death. Born May 6, 1983 in Hershey PA. She was the daughter of Ernest Boring Jr. and Hope (Webb) Gosnell. Preceded in death by grandmothers Elizabeth Miller, Delores Snyder; grandfather Ernest Boring Sr.; great grandmother Beebe and cousin Walt Webb Jr. Mandee is survived by her parents; children Drew E. Jones and Hudson W. Yarina; siblings Kandi L. Boring, BJ Gosnell, James M. Boring; second father William Gosnell; grandmother Frances Boring; former spouse George Jones; significant other Jeremy Fleegle; very special aunt and uncle Charlene and Thomas Philo; special family member Tammi L. Olson; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was a member of the American Legion #849. She loved to go camping, fishing, quad riding and hill climbing with her sons. Mandee was very kind and compassionate, with a tender heart. A phenomenal woman loved by all. Her death has left a deep void in many hearts. A bright light gone too soon. She was a wonderful mother who loved her sons deeply. An avid Steelers fan who lived her life to the fullest. Her energy was radiant, leaving all who knew her with memories they will cherish forever. Her contagious laughter, joy for life and beautiful smile will be forever missed. She was employed at East Hills Engineering. She also enjoyed styling hair at The Beauty Shoppe. Friends will be received Thursday from 1-3 and 5-7 pm at Oakland United Methodist Church where a funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00 am. Pastor Randy Bain officiating. Seating will be limited at the funeral service. Entombment Richland Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Ameriserv: Benefit for Drew and Hudson or The Womens Help Center.
