McConaughy, Agnes "Aggie", 93, Johnstown, passed away March 29, 2021 at home. Born February 27, 1928 in Windber, PA. A life-long musician and teacher, she taught generations of musicians, most recently in the Ferndale Area School District. She was truly "one of a kind" and has left a legacy of music and inspiration to so many. Highlights of her accomplishments include clarinetist for the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, Johnstown Reed Band, Johnstown College of Music, The Mountain Playhouse, USO performer, The Hormel Girls, member of Local 41, American Federation of Musicians, Woman of the Year, Arts and Letters YWCA Tribute to Women 2018, and woodwind musician for high school musicals, school music programs, numerous bands and groups since 1942. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother cherished by her family. Daughter of Charles and Mary Sue (Bukovsky) Welshko. Preceded in death by her parents, first husband John "Jack" Mendel McConaughy and second husband Frank Kring Jr., siblings Margaret Dunlop, John Welshko, Alice Dick. Survived by sister, Frances Feingold, children; David James McConaughy (wife Amy) and Claire Ann McConaughy (husband Jeff Kryvicky). Grandchildren Grace McConaughy-Kryvicky and Ian McConaughy. Step children; Frank David Kring III (wife Cindy) and Louis Marsh Kring and their fifteen children and grandchildren. At Agnes' request there will be no viewing. However, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. John Henderson Co.
