William Thomas Teeter

William Thomas Teeter, 67, Johnstown, died July 6, 2017, at his home. He was born September 4, 1949, in Johnstown, son of the late Kenneth and Elsie (Rager) Teeter. He was preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Kenneth, Jr.; and sisters, Elsie Teeter, Clara Mae Teeter, and Betty Ribblett. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Bernice “Sis” (Urban) Teeter; children, William Jr., and wife, Kristen (Gehring), New Florence; Matthew L., West End; and Michael P., and girlfriend, Stacy, Moxham; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter;  daughter-in-law, Pamela Teeter, South Fork; siblings, Anna Craft, Mundys Corner; Lea Jean Willett, NY; Harry, Vinco; Patricia Fredrickson, NY; James, NY; and David, Ebensburg; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of Pleasant Hills Church of the Brethren. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from Thomas’s Car Wash and had worked for Thiel’s Trucking. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. where funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m., the Rev. Robert Wolf, officiating. Interment will be in Benshoff Hill Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded at graveside by members of Charles Menoher VFW Post 155 Ritual Team.
