Willard W. Wingard, “Willie”, 82, Johnstown, died January 2, 2020 at home. Born September 6, 1937 in Johnstown, son of Jacob and Catherine (Bloom) Wingard. Preceded in death by parents; and step grandson, Christopher Scott Newsome. Survived by wife, Sara “Sally” (Turner); son, Willard, Jr., Florida; granddaughters, Catherine “Katey”, and Haley Danielle Wingard; step grandson, Paul Bryan Newsome; siblings, Barbara E. Moyer, Davidsville; Charles R. (Rose Hanna), West Hempstead, NY; and Lois A. (David Fuller), Richland. Also survived by brothers-in-law, Jack Turner (Diane), Ohio; and Larry Turner (Patty); and numerous nieces and nephews. Willie retired from United Metal Fabricators of Johnstown. He was and avid sports fan. Friends received 3-7PM Tuesday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where funeral service will be held 10AM Wednesday with Pastor Terry Knipple officiating. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
