Robert D. Duppstadt, 83, Johnstown, died March 6, 2019, at Richland Woods. Bob was born to Dayton and Gladys (Legg) Duppstadt on May 10, 1935 in Windber, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Beverly Kormanik. Bob will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly (Swift) Duppstadt, whom he married November 14, 1959; three children: Lynda (David) Marsh, Lori, (former husband, Brian) Kovach; and Scott Duppstadt; four grandchildren: TSgt. Adam (Mindy) Marsh, USAF, Amanda (Gary) Frombach, Nicole (Travis) Cramer, and Kara Kovach; and five great-grandchildren: Kai, Landen, and Julianna Marsh; and Bryce and Chase Frombach. Bob was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and a graduate of Johnstown High School Class of 1956. He was a retired chemist from Bethlehem Steel Corp. with 37 years of service. He served in the United States Army. Bob treasured his time with his family and valued his close friends in Myrtle Beach. For over 20 years, he and Beverly enjoyed residing in Myrtle Beach during the fall and winter months. Nothing was more important to Bob than spending time with his bride, Beverly, whom he met in the second grade. At Bob’s request, there will be no public viewing; however, those who wish may attend a memorial service on Sunday, March 10th at 1pm at Memorial Baptist Church, with Pastor Carl Irwin officiating. Private interment at Grandview Cemetery with military rite conducted by Charles Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team. Arrangements are by John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave.
