DUNKLE- Richard C. “Dick,” 89, Johnstown. Passed away on February 5, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on October 9, 1929 in Johnstown. Son of Claire C. and Helen V. (Ankney) Dunkle. Preceded in death by his parents, daughter Christine Dunkle, sister Jean Zook, and brother William. Survived by wife of 67 years Hattie E. (Forgacs); children Nancy Koontz and her special friend Paul Woznak of Johnstown, Richard F. of Johnstown, and Wayne T. married to Wendy Wissinger of OH; grandchildren Melissa (Koontz) married to Dave Clifford, Eric Koontz married to Jen (Boes), Michael Dunkle and his fiancé Kathryn Lyons, Sarah Dunkle and her fiancé Nate Balaban, Ethan Dunkle married to Jaclyn (Lovejoy) and Joseph Dunkle; great grandchildren Sersia and Cora Clifford and Landon and Logan Koontz; and brother Robert. Lifelong, faithful and devoted member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. Also, member of Alma Lodge, #523, I.O.O.F. Richard was a skilled carpenter. Retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. U.S. Air Force Veteran serving in Korea. Friends will be received from 11:00 until time of funeral service at 12:30 Saturday at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 228 Blaine St, Johnstown, PA 15906.
