WEHN, R. Virginia, died on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center,
Johnstown, PA. Virginia Wehn was born on May 2, 1927 in Johnstown to Thompson and Christine (McCabe) Clark. She was raised in the mining village of Cardiff (near Nanty Glo) and
graduated from Blacklick Township H.S. in 1945. She entered the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and graduated as an RN in 1948. She worked at Mercy for over forty years. Virginia married Robert Wehn on January 18, 1950 in St. John Gualbert Church. They were blessed with four children: Father Timothy Clark Wehn of Johnstown, Amy Huber - wife of Richard Huber, Johnstown, Ann Pierce - wife of Michael Pierce, Sidman, and Lenora Davis- wife of Jeff Davis, New Cumberland. Virginia was devoted to her family. She was a devout Catholic, a kind and thoughtful woman who loved being a wife, mother, and nurse. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings - Floretta Clark, Kathleen Weaver, Genevieve Hasse, Marguerite Lux, Pauline Castania, and James Clark. She is survived by her four children, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and brother-in-law Frederick Wehn of Sykesville, MD. Friends will be received at the Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St. (Geistown) from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with the Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19th. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 20th at St John Gualbert Cathedral at 10:00 a.m. Father Timothy Clark Wehn main celebrant.
