Nelson Warren Yoder, 81, Davidsville, died July 14, 2019 at Laurelview Village. Born November 27, 1937 in Shamokin, PA, son of the late Anthony and Ida (Yoder) Dobson. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Linda (Latsha) Yoder; son, Dr. Neil Yoder and wife Candy (Sanders); grandchildren, Jordan and Taylor; brother, Curt Dobson; brother-in-law, James Latsha; sister-in-law, Dolly Steele. He worked for the PA Dept. of Public Welfare for 38 yrs. A member of Colonial Park Church of Christ. Past member of BPOE and the Moose. He loved sports officiating. He was the past President of Dauphin County Umpire Association having been an umpire with ASA for 30 years. Also a PIAA official for District 3 girls basketball for 23 yrs. Served as Central Dauphin High school interscholastic hockey team treasurer. Harrisburg Hunters and Anglers association member. He was on the investment committee and served the Devonshire Fair for Colonial Park UCC. He was an avid golfer, loved book discussion groups, reading and traveling. A memorial service will be held on August 2 at 1:00 pm at Colonial Park United Church of Christ, Rev. Cindy Garis officiating.
