GLOSSER, Morton, Born July 4, 1926 in Johnstown, died October 19, 2017 at home in Princeton, Dade County, Florida. Son of the late Saul and Eva Glosser. Preceded in death by his older brother Alvin M. Glosser. Mort served in the U.S. Army and then attended and graduated from the Antonelli School of Photography in Philadelphia. In his early life Mort was a professional photographer operating from a studio on Market Street. In 1959 Mort moved to Princeton and embarked on a new career as a real estate broker cate...ring primarily to agricultural clients. He was very successful because of the trust they placed in him together with his vast knowledge of south Dade county farm land. Mort led “Country Corn” a professional bluegrass band in which he played the banjo and harmonica and sang. Mort played music even at 91. He loved to teach others to play the banjo. He was known for this cornball humor hence the name “Pop Corn”. He had a strong personal friendship with Grandpa Jones of Grand Old Opry fame and together they had a successful music publishing company. During his lifetime he adopted more than 10 stray dogs starting with Big Brother and Banjo. Mort and his family are truly appreciative of the friendship, devotion, love and care rendered him during his later years by his many friend, his band and his caregivers.
