Mary Elizabeth (Krupa) Ritchey

Mary Elizabeth Ritchey “Betsy”, 91, Davidsville, formerly a long time resident of Coon Ridge Road, Johnstown, PA, died February 1, 2019, at home. Born May 10, 1927, in Johnstown daughter of Joseph and Helen (Gritzer) Krupa. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 48 years, Regis; infant brother, Joseph; brother, John; step sister, Dolores Inman; and step mother, Anna. Survived by children, Philip, San Jose, CA; Tara “Deb” Kemp (David Anderson), Eugene, OR, and her sons, Simon and Damian Kemp; David (Angelina), Henderson, NV; Gretchen (Patrick Reeves), Keller, TX, and their children, Daniel, Andrew, and Elyssa; Rev. Paul (Suzanne), Punxsutawney, and their children, Kate and Austin; and Scott (Londa), Schwenksville, and their son Zach. Sister of Frank (Anne), Warren; Edward (Jean), Johnstown; Eugene (Ethel), St. Michael; Patricia (Bob Alverez), Sumter, SC; and Ronald Michael (Kathie), Johnstown. Also survived by brothers-in-law, George Ritchey (Myrna); and Thomas Inman; sister-in-law, Rita Krupa; cousin John Gritzer; and numerous nieces and nephews. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, St. Jude’s, or Laurel View Care Fund.  Family and friends will be received at John Henderson Company  Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave, Johnstown, PA. Thursday evening, February 7, from 6 to 8 pm, where vigil for the deceased will be held.  A Funeral mass will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church on Friday, February 8, at 10 am with Father Matthew Reese, celebrant. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
