Mary (Turcheck) Paulakos

Mary Paulakos, 95, Johnstown, died November 14, 2017. She was born August 26, 1922, in St. Michael, daughter of the late John and Anna Turcheck. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael G. Paulakos; sister, Catherine Fridroeff; and brothers, Harry and John. She is survived by her daughters, DiAnn Barrett, Antonette Tobin, Paulette Stefanik, and husband, David; Carol Clarke, and husband, Roger, and Christine Troutman; grandchildren, Patrick, John, Laura, Brenda and fiancé Jeryn, Jose and fiancé Laykin, Angel, Angelene and Alexa; great grandchildren, Brenden, P.J., Jordan,Sofia, Bryce, Cayo, Anthonly, Aleaya; her sister, Ann Lipe; sister-in-law, Pauline Contakos; best friend cousin Rose; as well as cousins, nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church. She was devoted to her God, family and country. She supported efforts to help the less fortunate.  Friends will be received Friday from 11:30 am until time of service at 1:00 pm at St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church, Rev. Father Michael Rustick. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Mary’s name to Wounded Veteran’s, Women’s Help Center, or to St. Mary’s Church.
