Margaret Sichak, 97, Allegheny Lutheran Home, formerly of Richland, died April 6, 2019 at the Lutheran Home. Born June 21, 1921 in Johnstown, daughter of Wasko and Odaska (Blaschak) Homyak. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John, whom she married July 17, 1943 and died in 1983; brother, John; and sisters, Mary Marcinko, Helen Yeager, Ann Bednarz, Elizabeth Beldowitz, and Susan Kriak. Survived by children, Elaine (Victor Moschgat), Windber; Nicholas (Karen Seese), Wyomissing; and Mary Ann (Mark Browning), La Center, WA; grandchildren, Erin Helsel, Victoria Thornton, Rebecca Kauffman, Melanie Scifres, and Timothy Sichak; and eight great grandchildren. Sister of Elsie Arendas. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, and she was a World War II wife. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8PM Friday at Henderson-Makuchan Funeral Home, 434 First St., Conemaugh, where Parastas will be sung following Pre-sanctified Liturgy. Funeral service will begin at 8:45Am Saturday at the funeral home, and continue immediately in St. John the Baptist Church with Very Rev. Archpriest George Johnson. Interment, church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Conemaugh, PA.
