Joseph Kaminski, Jr.

Joseph Kaminski, Jr., 77, Salix, died June 14, 2019 at Windber Woods. Born February 16, 1942 in Johnstown, son of Joseph and Julia Ann (Veselka) Kaminski. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Mary Ann Kelly; and granddaughter, Shaquayla. Survived by wife, Betty Jean (Leventry); children, Vincent, Michael, and Betsy J. Jackson; grandchildren, Shaquille, and Brianna; sister, Pauline McMillan; brother-in-law, William Leventry (Jean); and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was a very active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He worked at US Steel, and was a retired corrections officer from SCI-Cresson. He served in the US Navy. Friends received 2-5PM Sunday at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St., where funeral service will be held Monday at 11AM with Pastor Kirk Rowland officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
