John W. Ostheim

John W. Ostheim, 87, Johnstown, died August 13, 2018, at his home. He was born October 3, 1930, in Johnstown, son of the late Elmer and Stella M. (Floto) Ostheim. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Tinkle; and a great granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Magdaline (Danovich) Ostheim; children, Steven Thomas, and wife, Joann; Craig William, and wife, Sharon; and Monica Annette Housel, and husband, Carl; grandchildren, Christopher Ostheim, Jessica Ostheim, Lt. Jonathan Ostheim, Matthew Petrilla, Amy Felker, and Breeanna Reel; and 11 great grandchildren. He was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, and served as past president of the Richland Lions Club. He was a US Airforce veteran of the Korean War. John retired from Bethlehem Steel Corporation. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm Thursday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where Memorial Service will be held at 8 pm. Divine Liturgy will be at 10 am Friday at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Msgr. Raymond Balta. Interment will be in the Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery in Uniontown.
