John H. Lowes

Lowes, John H, 89, Johnstown, died Dec 31,2019 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born May 30, 1930 in Patton, son of the late John and Evelyn (Bearer) Lowes. He is survived by his children Claudia, Paul, Leslie Adams, and husband James and Heidi and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and sisters Mildred Mindala, Evelyn Sprengel, Linda Lowes, and sisters-in-law Joyce Lowes and Rosemarie Lowes. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp and was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.  He was long time member of the Austrian Hall. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8PM Thursday at John  Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM Friday at St John Guaulbert Cathedral, Very Rev. James F Crookston, celebrant.  Committal will be in Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers , contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
