Joan (Rodkey) Mulkey

Joan Mulkey, 83, Johnstown, died June 30, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born August 15, 1934, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Thomas and Theresa (Bloom) Rodkey. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Mulkey; great grandson, Aiden; and sisters, Mary and Louise. She was a devoted and loving sister of Thomas Rodkey, and his wife, Kathy; a devoted and loving mother of Georgina Miller, Annette Haugh (Mike), Mindy Miller (Denny), Denise Polhamus (Drew), Joe Mulkey (Carrie), and Ed Mulkey; a devoted and loving grandmother of twelve grandchildren; and a devoted great grandmother of six great grandchildren. She was a graduate of Bishop McCort Catholic High School, she was a leader of Boy Scouts, enjoyed bowling and going to TOPS, and enjoyed horses and going on long rides in the country. Friends will be received from 10 am until 12 noon on Thursday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Graveside services will follow at Headrick Union Cemetery, Pastor Bill Pieringer, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joan’s name to St. Jude Children’s  Hospital. www.hendersonfuneralhome.com
