ALVARES- Janet Ann, 72, passed away at home on August 25, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Born June 18, 1947. The daughter of James A. Sr. and Helen (Salata) Lehman. Preceded in death by her father and first husband Kenneth A. Smith. Also, her grandmother Anna (Yanko) Salata who she shared a special relationship. Survived by husband of 50 years, Floyd C.; sons Kenneth J. Smith married to Amelia of Johnstown, Brian K. Smith Sr. married to Amy of Johnstown, and Floyd A. Alvares married to Tina of Berlin, PA; daughter Laura A. (Alvares) Hartman married to Brian of Hagerstown, MD. In addition to her children, she is survived by her sister Carol Bell and her special partner Alan Eash; brothers James A. Jr. married to Gloria, Thomas married to Georgia, and Richard married to Marg all from Johnstown. Also, she enjoyed her 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Member of St. John The Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church. At Janet’s request, there will be no viewing. However, a Funeral Devine Liturgy will be held Wednesday at 1:30 at St. John The Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church. Rev. James Davidson, officiating.
