It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of James M. McCoy, 67, Richland Twp., on November 17, 2017 at home. Born February 4, 1950, in Ft. Belvoir, VA, son of James C. and Elizabeth (Krzysko) McCoy. Preceded in death by parents; and grandson Donald Earl Shaw,III. Survived by wife former Deborah Luciew, whom he married June 12, 1971; children, Kristen Palmer, Richland; Jason, Pittsburgh; and Marc, Sanford, FL; and granddaughter, Eleana Shaw. Brother of Stuart (Cathy Thomas), Mechanicsburg. Also survived by inlaws, Daniel and Betty Luciew, Johnstown; brother-in-law, Daniel (Donna Pebley), Harrison City; and several nieces and nephews. Jim was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. He was a retired MST Therapist from Adelphoi Village, and he also worked for ABEX Steel. Jim was an avid tennis player and enjoyed playing with many of his friends in the tennis community. He also enjoyed classic cars and driving his corvette. The McCoy family would like to extend a heartfelt thankyou to Second Presbyterian Church, Bethany United Methodist Church, the staff at Windber Hospice and Cancer Care Center, and to all of our wonderful, caring family and friends. Jim will live forever in our hearts. Friends will be received from 9:15 am until the hour of memorial service at 10am Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Second Presbyterian Church, 565 Park Ave., with Pastor Art Moffat officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St.
