Helen (Yackulich) Margetan ,91 ,Laurelwood Care Center, formerly of Park Hill , passed away peacefully June 18, 2019. Born October 4, 1927 in East Conemaugh. Daughter of Michael and Anna (Berzonsky) Yackulich. Preceded in death by parents, son; Thomas , brothers; Charles, George, John, Michael, Paul, Donald, sisters; Anna Kopyt and Mary Partsch. Survived by devoted husband of 65 years Michael (Mickey) Margetan; children; Joyce (Leonard) Zuravnsky, Somerset, Janet (Richard) Buchan, East Taylor, David (Kathy Havener) Richland, and Robert (Michelle Reighard) Conemaugh, grandchildren; Matthew Buchan, Alan (Ashley Reynolds) Buchan, Derek (Jessica Brumbaugh) Margetan, Robert and Scott Margetan, Erin (Jason) June, Joseph Zuravnsky and Leslie Tyger, great grandchildren; Gavin and Garrett Buchan, and Ethan Margetan, sister of Dorothy Rosenbaum, Betty Cekada, and Irene (Charles) Friedhoff . Sister-in-laws Sue Weincek and Donna Yackulich, brother-in-law Anthony (Ed) Partsch and numerous nieces and nephews. Formerly employed by Penn Traffic Co. Helen was a loving, devoted and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed casino bus trips, dining out, going to various church picnics in the summer, watching football in the fall, and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers. A special thank you to the caring staff at Amber Springs/Laurelwood Care Center and Grane Hospice Care. Friends received Friday from 3-7 pm at Henderson- Makuchan Funeral Home, Conemaugh, 434 First Street, where Parastas will be sung at 6:30. Helen was a member of Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church where a Divine Liturgy will be held at 10 am, Saturday. Interment to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
