Gregory Sichak, Sr.

Gregory Sichak, Sr., 68, Central City, formerly of Richland, died unexpectedly March 10, 2019, at Memorial Medical Center. Born in Johnstown, son of Harry and Eleanor (Kardos) Sichak. Preceded in death by father. Survived by mother, Windber; sons, Shawn (Lauren Yingling), Salix; and Gregory, Jr., Johnstown; and grandsons, Noah Matthew and Braden Gregory Sichak. Brother of Daniel (Morag McCaull), North Carolina; Sharon (Ed Petrovcic), Windber; and Rosemary (Jeff Hunt), Harrisburg. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Greg was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Bishop McCort and Robert Morris College. He was the former owner of Richland Dairy Queen. Greg will be remembered as a loving father to his sons, and doting grandfather to Noah and Braden. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be held Thursday at 1:30pm at St. Benedict Church with Father David Peles as celebrant. Committal, St. Joseph Cemetery.
