Florence E. (Powell) Altemus

Altemus, Florence E., 94, Johnstown, died June 16, 2018 at Richland Health Care. Born February 9, 1924, in Ebensburg. She was the daughter of Daniel Webster and Margaret Ann (Farrell) Powell. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Park Jr.; brothers: Clark, Cecil, Gordon, Gerald, Charles; sisters,  Beatrice Dahlin and Margaret Kinnan; and son-in-law, Robert Lepere. Survived by children; Kathleen Lepere, with whom she resided, and Daniel Altemus. She was a 60 year member of Grove Avenue United Methodist Church, where she was very engaged in the activities held there. She was a 50 year member of the Pinochle Club. The family would like to send their sincere thanks to Atrium Manor, Beacon Ridge, Richland Health Care, and Asera Care Hospice personnel and staff for all the care they provided to Florence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grove Avenue United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of service at noon at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Pastor John Hollis. Interment Richland Cemetery.
