Dorothy L. (Hill) Pozun

Dorothy L. Pozun, 93, formerly of Richland, died August 30, 2019 at Laurel Wood Care Center. Born October 22, 1925, daughter of William R. and Hannah (Williams) Hill. Preceded in death by parents; husband, James J.; brothers, Robert (Dorothy), Earl (Kathleen), Charles (Vida), Frank (Mary Grace), and David (Jane), and great grandson, Dakota Boring. Survived by children, Cynthia (Robert Solarczyk); James W. (Janice Maser); and Gerald (Ruth Martin); grandchildren, Kymm (Richard George), Sara Solarczyk, Dr.Alexander Pozun (Melissa), Andrew Pozun (Nicole), Adam Pozun,  James Boring, Bobbie (William Scherer),and TracyBoring; great grandchildren, Kadence, Wyatt, Colton, Hadley, Harper, B.J., Elora, Mason, Bryann, Jayme,  Hannah and Kaylee; great-great grandchildren, Gracie, Gavin, Allyson, and Asher; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed friendships with the service day ladies. Dorothy will be fondly remembered for her many Christmas cookies and roasters of pigs and pierogis, that she shared with family and friends, and root beer floats that she shared with grandchildren. The table was always set for anyone who came to visit. Dorothy’s family would like thank the staff at Laurel Wood and Interim Hospice for the care and compassion given to her, and thank you to Kathy Ling for the Communion visits. The family is grateful for those who became friends with Dorothy at Laurel Wood. The friendship is very appreciated. Friends received 3-7PM Tuesday at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10AM at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, with Pastor Scott Klimke officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church.
