David B. Covert

David B. Covert, 76, St. Michael, formerly of Johnstown, died February 12, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center. Born November 6, 1942, in Johnstown, son of Dallas B., Jr. and Virginia (Wentz) Covert. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Margaret (Murtha) Covert; and step son, Richard Murtha. Survived by step sons, Daniel J. Murtha, Brad A. Murtha, and Paul A. (Nanette Blough); daughters, Angelina Dawn Ogea, and Kathy Covert; former wife Brenda Covert; and 12 grandchildren. David was retired from US Steel and Ebensburg Center. He was a US Army veteran. By request, there will be no public viewing, however a service will be held Friday  at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St.,beginning at 11am with military rite conducted by Chas. Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team followed by memorial service with Pastor Richard Smith officiating.
