Phillips, Christoper H., 53, Johnstown, passed away March 10, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Born February 3, 1965 in Johnstown. Survived by parents Thomas and Diane (Howard) Phillips; loving wife Carrie M. (Marsh) Phillips; children, Seth Phillips, Nikki Phillips, Daniel Blank married to Elisabet, Erica Blank and Josie Blank; grandchildren, Amaya O'Donnell, Irie and Journie Phillips; sister, Leean (Phillips) Uptain; aunt, Beverly Sanders; cousin, Beth Webb; mother and father in law, Rick and Janice Marsh; sister in law, Jamie married to Andy Rutledge; brother in law, Adam Marsh married to Shelly; best friend, John Kuzmiak. He attended Belmont United Methodist Church. He was a soccer coach for 20 years. He coached for Laurel Highlands Vortex team. A member of the Hollsopple Sportsman club. He loved motorcycles, his mach 1 Mustang and his AR 15. A U.S. Marine where he served as a Lance Corporal first Marine Division Camp Pendleton. Member of Airlift Contingency Brigade for two years with the responsibility of deployment anywhere in the world with 72 hrs notice. Awarded Rifle expert three times. Completed Jungle training in Panama and Combat Engineering school. Graduate of Westmont High School. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Henderson Funeral Home East Hills, 2503 Bedford Street, military rites will be conducted by Chas. Menoher Post 155 VFW at 10:30 am prior to funeral service at 11:00 Wednesday, Rev. Keith Dunn. Interment Grandview Cemetery. Donations may be made to the family.
