Catherine A. "Kay" (Stovalosky) Brendle

Catherine A. "Kay" Brendle, 91, Johnstown, died February 2, 2018, at Windber Hospice. She was born December 21, 1926, in Johnstown, daughter of the late John and Mary (Kohuth) Stovalosky. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dorsey L. “Pete” Brendle, whom she married November 26, 1947; sisters, Mary and Betty Kinnel; and brother, John. She is survived by a brother, George; sister-in-law, Shirley Brendle; and loving and caring niece, Dr. Melissa Murray, and husband, Terry; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Kay worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses in the area for 40 years. She and her husband enjoyed traveling with family and friends. They met many special people they worked with and friends who are loving. There will be no viewing. Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In memory of Kay, contributions may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1000 Scalp Ave., Johnstown, PA 15904, or your favorite charity.
