Betsy Jo (Hott) Hawthorne, 79, Johnstown, died March 31, 2018, at home. She was born October 25, 1938, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Coy Elga and Elizabeth Mae (Krise) Hott. Preceded in death by her former spouse, William Hawthorne; siblings, Fred (Lorrie), Bob, Clark “Bud”, and Eleanor (Joseph Kinnan). Survived by daughters, Nancy (William Tinsmith), Delmar, MD; Suzan (Joseph Hollist), Pittsburgh; Vicki (Martin Erdley), with whom she resided; Kathy (Bennett Horne), Kaysville, UT; and Billie Anne (Todd Huff), Johnstown; grandchildren, Elizabeth (William Adkins), Aimee (Ron Allen), Megan, William (Katie) Tinsmith; Parker, Alayna Hollist; Aubrey (Benjamin Garvin), Martin II (Stefanie) Erdley; George (Erika), Maggie Hall; Lara (Jason Smith), and Katie Huff; great grandchildren, Erynne; Kyrsten, Alexander; Cayden; Isabella, Cayson, Hunter; Lila, and Addyson; siblings, Sylvia Sonneborn, Mary (Earl Hutchinson), Gail “Annie” Prave (Mark Piljay), and Nancy (Daniel O’Hara); sisters-in-law, Barbara Hott and Joan (John Weakland); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Former employee of Conemaugh Hospital. Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Special thanks to Asera Care Hospice friends and Dr. Richard Wozniak.
