Bertha Anneva Jones

Bertha Anneva “Nevy”Jones, 86, Johnstown, passed on peacefully July 14, 2017 at The Atrium. Born August 31, 1930, in Johnstown, daughter of Samuel B. and Blanche (Hamer) Jones. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Dwight, Gordon, Donald, and Nathan; sisters, Isabel and Ethel; and nephew, Gordon. Survived by loving sisters-in-law and oftentimes care-givers, Catherine Jones and Luella Jones.  She will be sadly missed by her loving nieces and nephews, Vaughn and John Jones, David Jones and Karen Jones-Budd.  She is also survived by Gordon’s children, Brian, Aaron, Clay and Dori Ann; Vaughn’s children, Stewart and Shelly; David’s children, Kimberly, Jaime and Douglas; and Karen’s children, Kathryn and Kelsey.  She was a member of Moxham Lutheran Church. Nevy lived at The Atrium for the last 17 years of her life where she was lovingly cared for and cherished. She will be forever in our hearts as we remember her special innocent nature. All her life, Nevy was everybody’s little angel.  She is at peace now and has been reunited with her beloved parents, brothers, sisters and nephew. Friends received from 11am until the hour of service at noon on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave, with Rev. Dr. Robert Wagner officiating. Interment, P.O.S. of A. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Nevy’s name to Moxham Lutheran Church or The Atrium.
