Anna Marie (Magdelinic) Koestler

Anna Marie (Magdelinic) Koestler, 82, Columbia, PA formerly of Johnstown, died January 4, 2018, at St. Anne’s Retirement Community. Born March 27, 1935, in Johnstown, daughter of Stephen G. and Mary (Lugar) Magdelinic. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John; and brother, Steven. Survived by children, John P. (Silvia), Qatar; James W., Santa Rosa, CA; Patricia Skarbek (Edward), Red Lion; and Thomas E., Portland, OR. Also survived by grandson, Brady Smith, Red Lion, siblings, Loretta Keith (Greg), Santa Rosa, CA; and Robert (Connie), Hollidaysburg; sister-in-law, Jean, Davidsville; and many nieces and nephews. She was formerly employed at MetLife. Anna was a member of Croatian Fraternal Union, Slovene National Benefit Society, and Riverside Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was a graduate of Conemaugh Twp. High School, and a former volunteer at St. Andrew Catholic School.  Friends received from 2 until 7pm Monday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave, where Vigil for the Deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 10am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, with Father Angelo Patti as celebrant.
