William A. Reap, 85, Davidsville, formerly of Ferndale, passed away February 26, 2017, at Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Born July 22, 1931 in Johnstown, son of Mary (Utzler) and Weldon Bauder. Preceded in death by parents; and infant brother, Larry Bauder. Survived by wife, former Patricia Varner; children, Kimberly S. (Anthony Rullo), Davidsville; and Robert (Debbie Krempasky), Johnstown; grandchildren Tyler Anthony Rullo (Megan); and Kelci Diana Rullo (Marshall); great granddaughter, Francesca Elizabeth Rullo; and sister, Jane (Terry Buxbaum), Johnstown. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and feline companions Scooter and Sammy. Bill loved his family more than he loved his own life. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren, Ferndale VFD, and Ferndale Historical Society. He was an avid coin collector. He loved to learn and read books, especially those about World War II. He was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. Bill served in the US Army and Army Reserves. Bill volunteered as a driver for the Department of Veterans Affairs for many years. By request, there will be no public viewing. Funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren or Ferndale Volunteer Fire Company. We love you so very much, and will miss you forever.
