William J. McKinney, 93, Johnstown, died April 3, 2018, at Arbutus Park Manor. He was born May 28, 1924, in Lilly, son of the late Jerome and Anna (George) McKinney. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou (Wilson) McKinney; sisters, Edna, Eva, and Vera; infant sisters, Anna Mae and Alva; and brother, Ray. He is survived by daughters, Judy McKinney, Carol Leventry, and husband, Randy; and Sue Berringer, and husband, Ed; grandchildren, Ken and Steve Hudnall, and Matthew and Lindsey Leventry; brother, Robert McKinney; and sister, Betty Koffman. He was a member of the Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship Church. He retired after 40 years of service at Bethlehem Mines, and was a WW II US Navy veteran. Dad will always be remembered for his love of God, family, and country, his sense of humor, and all the little songs he would sing to us. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Crossroads Unit and West Wing staff at Arbutus for care given, as well as to Ascera Care. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship Church, Pastor Jim Gay and Pastor Ed Berringer, officiating.
