Scott C. Gilmour

Gilmour, Scott C., 62, Johnstown, passed away January 12, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 15, 1955 in Johnstown, son of the late Frederick T. Jr. and M. Evelyn (Boland) Gilmour Miller. Survived by wife Aurora V. (Murillo); children, Ryan S. Gilmour; stepchildren, Stacey M. (Koontz) married to John Zometsky; brother, Frederick T. III married to Dr. Davie J. Gilmour; grandchildren, Tyler and Luke Gilmour; step grandchildren, Alec Koontz, Arik Koontz, Madison and Morgan Zometsky and countless beloved relatives and friends. He was confirmed and attended Westmont Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #354 and retired in January 2017 after 40 years. He was highly regarded and well respected in the Brotherhood of fitters. He was always ready for a challenge and willing to make the extra effort to see the job done right.  He had great respect for the men he worked with and would not ask them to do anything he would not do himself. Scott was creative a tinkerer at heart and loved his home and surroundings.  He will be remembered for his wry smile, soft spoken, and generous way.  He quietly touched the lives of many people. Graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School and Williamsport Area Community College. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at John Henderson Company Funeral Home 215 Central Ave., where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am,  Rev.
