Richard D. Rippin

Rippin, Richard D., 87, of Johnstown, died March 9, 2018. Born October 15, 1930, "Dick" was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Doris. Survived by his wife Carolyn, his sons; Kevin, David and Thomas, and brothers; Gerald and Kenneth. Blessed with ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Dick served in Korea, graduated from Cambria Rowe Business College and worked at Bethlehem Steel for 30 years. A Christ UMC member, Dick sang and performed solos in the choir. He enjoyed sports, played basketball in the Moxham Church league, umpired and bowled duckpins. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at JOHN HENDERSON COMPANY FUNERAL HOME, 215 Central Ave. where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am, Rev. Gregory M. Stiver. Interment Grandview Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Dick's name to Christ UMC, Moxham.
