Richard E. McGowan

Richard E. McGowan, 62, Johnstown, died June 22, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. Born December 12, 1954, in McKeesport, son of Richard E. Day and Lucille McGowan. Preceded in death by father; and brother, Kimberlee. Survived by mother; children; Jabbar Brown, Jamel Brown, and Jasmine McGowan; and granddaughter, Nevaeh Baker; brother, William McGowan; and sister, Bobbi-Jo McGowan. Also survived by niece, Chante McGowan; nephews, Ian Banks and Anthony Berry; great niece Lilliana McGowan; and special friends Gwen Brown, Debbie Nash, and Shawnte Simms.  He attended Pilgrim COGIC. Friends received from 11am until the time of service at 1pm Monday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., with Johnstown District Superintendent of COGIC Elder Reed Moore officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
