Mary L. (Silko) Kemp

Mary L. Kemp, 95, Johnstown, returned to the arms of her loving husband, on the eve of their 72^nd wedding anniversary, January 11, 2018, at the home of her daughter. She was born September 2, 1922, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Sebastian and Mary (Furman) Silko. She was the last member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by her husband, James L. Kemp on October 1, 1991; brothers, Anthony, Stephen “Butch”, Pete, and John; and sisters, Sophie and Helen. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Podlucky, and husband, Bernie, Johnstown; grandchildren, Stacy Dabbs, and husband, David, Johnstown; Jennifer Felus, and husband, Carmen, Setauket, NY; and Jim Podlucky, and wife, Amanda, Johnstown; great-grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, and Ella Dabbs; Marissa and Caden Felus; and Sabastian Podlucky; and foster daughter, Susan Landa, and son, Josh, Clayton, CA. She was a member of The Church of the Transfiguration. She had worked for Bali Bra, and had retired from the Association for the Blind and Handicapped. Mary will be sadly missed because she was always there to care for family and friends. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. on Monday at Henderson-Makuchan Funeral Home, 434 1^st St., Conemaugh, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at The Church of the Transfiguration, Rev. Robert C. Hall, celebrant. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery. www.hendersonfuneralhome.com
