Martha A. (Sanders) Williams

Martha A. Williams, 88, Franklin Borough, died March 10, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born December 12, 1929, in Alabama, daughter of the late William and Mamie (Stephens) Sanders. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Williams, Sr.; son, Derrick; and brothers, Luther, William, Jr., Charles, George, and Timothy Sanders. She is survived by her children, Jacqueline and Ernest, Jr. “Sonny”, both of Johnstown; and Taryn (Ricky Adams), MD; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sisters, Louise, Bonnie, Tina, and Monique Sanders, all of Cleveland OH; friend, Doris Mickens; sisters-in-law, Bernice Simms and Betty Jones, both of Johnstown; and Juanita Sanders, Cleveland, OH; and brother-in-law, Earl Williams, Johnstown. She was a member of Mount Sinai Institutional Church, where she was a member of the Adult Choir and the Kitchen Ministry; a member of Order of the Eastern Star, and IBPOE Lodge 371. Friends will be received on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Mount Sinai Church where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Maurice Williams, officiating, with Eulogist Julius Porcher, interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
