Margaret Rose (Calpin) Kahler

KAHLER Margaret Rose, “Peg,” 80, of Beachwood, OH and formerly of Johnstown, PA died November 4, 2017 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, OH. Born July 8, 1937 in Johnstown, the daughter of Ruth C. (Gilbert) Calpin and Vincent J. Calpin. Preceded in death by parents, husband William J. Kahler, Jr., and son William J. “Billy” Kahler, III. Survived by daughters Kathleen K. Fonda (Richard), Laura K. Orazi, and Amy E. Burchfield (Joseph), and grandchildren Cecilia M. Caughman (John), Helen F. Vettori (Robert), James D. Fonda, Thomas W. Fonda, Matthew A. Fonda, and Dominic M. Orazi. Also survived by sisters Ruth R. Pesto and Janet P. Calpin, and several nieces and nephews. At the time of her death, Peg was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Shaker Heights, OH. She was formerly a member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Johnstown, PA. Peg was a retired teacher of the Greater Johnstown School District. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday November 9, 2017 at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Johnstown, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday November 10, 2017, Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 415 Tioga St., Johnstown, PA, Rev. Mark Begly, Pastor. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Johnstown, PA.
