Helen (Baran) Mikula

Helen Mikula, 88, Franklin Borough, died November 3, 2017, at Laurelwood Care Center. She was born July 27, 1929, in Johnstown, daughter of the late John and Anastasia (Habuda) Baran. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mikula; brothers, Nicholas and Peter Baran; and sisters, Kathryn Belitza and Maria Minetta. She is survived by her sisters, Anna Kazmierczyk and Justina Hasson; step-daughters, Kathleen Rushing and Judine Shrader; step-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a former member of St. Rochus Church, where she sang in the choir. She retired from Cable Vision. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Henderson-Makuchan Funeral Home, 434 First St., Conemaugh. Final farewell will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by Divine Liturgy at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Rev. Dr. Robert F.
