Donald W. Stuver

Donald W. Stuver, 87, Johnstown, passed away March 18, 2017, at Providence Point, Pittsburgh. Born March 27, 1929, in Johnstown, son of Wallace S. and Mary L. Cummins Stuver. Preceded in death by parents, and wife, Lois J. (Bettle). Survived by sons, Craig O., married to the former Susan Straitiff, and their son, Jonathan, all of Pittsburgh, and Douglas K., married to the former Mary Beth Goedeker, Portland, Ore., and their daughters, Lexie, New York, N.Y., and Casey, Pittsburgh; sister, Doris Wilson, Johnstown; and many special nieces and nephews. Attended Trinity Lutheran Church. A 1947 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. U.S. Army veteran. Retired sales representative of Antonucci Sales, Pittsburgh. He enjoyed many years of golfing, fishing, playing cards, bowling with his dad and following his favorite Pittsburgh teams, the Steelers and Pirates. Unlike his sons, Don could fix anything that was broken or didn't work! Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Dr. Robert Wagner, officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Association for the Blind and Handicapped, 211 Central Ave., Johnstown, Pa. 15902.
