Donald P. Riffle

Riffle, Donald P., 84, Johnstown, passed away December 25, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. Born January 30, 1933 in Johnstown, son of Alphonse M. and Julia (Spence) Riffle. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Alphonse and infant sister. Survived by wife of 61 years, Janet L. (Gindlesperger); son, Brian  married to Jackie (Fochtman); grandsons, Thomas Riffle married to Sarah (Prieste), Sean Riffle, Alan Waters married to Amber (Roberts); great granddaughters, Gabrielle L., Geonna J. and Brennley Dawn Riffle, Ellie Waters. He was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church where he was the treasurer and program director of the U.M. men. He was also the treasurer and a board member of the Foundation of campus ministry at UPJ. He was a US Army veteran. He loved to travel. He had been a purchasing agent for US Steel.  From 1959 until 2009 he had been the assistant treasurer, treasurer, manager and board member at USSCO Federal Credit Union. Most recently he took care of  community relations for CFO Strategies. Friends will be received Wednesday from 3-7 pm at JOHN HENDERSON COMPANY FUNERAL HOME, 215 Central Ave.. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 am at Beulah United Methodist Church, Pastor David Stains and co-Pastors Jim Gay and J.R. Virgin. Interment Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Sitting Bulls sled hockey 756 Hillsboro Rd. Windber PA 15963.
