Dean Gindlesperger

Gindlesperger, Dean, 91, Dubois, formerly of Moxham and Lower Yoder, passed away August 6, 2017 at Dubois Nursing home. Born July 15, 1926 in Johnstown, son of Lester and Katie (Kelly) Gindlesperger. Preceded in death by parents, wife Dorothy M. (Mainhart), granddaughter, Blythe Canby and sister Joanne Allen. Survived by children; Brad married to Peggy (DuBreucq), Susan Kay married to Dayton Canby, Danny married Kay (Lavrey), siblings; Jeanne Best and Terry Gindlesperger, grandchildren; Erica, Deanna, Ashley and Luke Gindlesperger, Mitchell and Bliss Canby and seven great grandchildren. He was a member of Moxham Colonial church of the Brethren. U.S. Navy and Army Veteran WWII. He was a member of the Legion in Johnstown, loved to fish and hunt. His favorite pastime was spending time at Camp Hartley in Bedford. He had worked as a fitter at Bethlehem Steel.  Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am. Interment Richland Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 155.
