Clifford McCreary

Clifford McCreary, 93, Sidman, died July 21, 2017, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born February 9, 1924, in Mineral Point, son of the late Taylor R. and Anna Pearl (Bowser) McCreary. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jeremiah; brothers, Taylor, William, and Charles; and sisters, Mary McAfee and Lillian Hinterliter. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was retired from US Steel Corporation, and was a US Army  World War II veteran. Clifford’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thankyou to special friends Cindy and Jack Higgins, and Teri and Kevin Adams for the care and help extended to Clifford, and also to the staff of Forest Hills Personal Care Home for the care given to Clifford during his stay there. Friends received from 10 am until the hour of service at noon Wednesday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., with Rev. Kathleen Popp officiating. At the conclusion of the service, military rite will be conducted by Chas. Menoher  Post 155 VFW Ritual Team at the funeral home. Committal, Anderson Cemetery, Cessna, PA. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorial contributions be made to a charity of one’s choice.
