I am sending prayers to the family. I worked for Charlotte at Head Start for many years. It was never the same when she left. She was like everyone's mom at work and always knew what was going on at home and work with all of us. She was responsible for changing many, many lives for the best. She will be missed.

Charlotte was both my friend and my boss. I grew up admiring her as an amazing working mother. Then she hired me as Head Start home visitor. Charlotte was a wonderful mentor and started me on my professional path working with children and modeling how to collaborate and lead with warmth, intelligence and humor. She sent me birthday cards and gave me a pair of earrings I admired when she was wearing them. What a special woman who will me missed and kept close in many hearts. My thoughts are with all of you.

Mrs. Rudel was a wise, big-hearted woman and the matriarch of a family that helped form the bedrock of Johnstown's vibrant Jewish community. My deepest condolence.

Charlotte is so much a part of my memory growing up in Johnstown, such an important and loving support for Arlyn, and someone I always think of as the finest representation of community caring and warmth. My love to Dave and the whole family and, less regret at Charlotte's passing than joy at how much good she accomplished and how her loving family includes so many to carry on her good work.

My blessings on the family and friends of Charlotte Rudel. She was a dear soul, close to my heart. We worked together off and on for many years. Her sense of humor and dedication made her unique in her own way. I will attend on Friday and hope to share in honoring Charlotte and her life.

I grew up with Karen and Charlotte was like my second Mom. She was a very compassionate person. We will miss her. My condolences to the family.
