Charles Edgar Riddle

Charles Edgar Riddle, 96, Johnstown, died October 13, 2017, at his home. He was born July 21, 1921, in Johnstown, son of the late Maxwell and Elizabeth (Ellenberger) Riddle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Berniece (Wiley) Riddle; and a son, Robert Charles Riddle. He is survived by his children,  James and Ellen (Kirkpatrick) Riddle, West Pittston; Larry and Patty (Robson) Riddle, Johnstown; Deborah and Gary Lichtenfels, Johnstown; Joyce and David Anderson, Atlantic Beach, FL; and Margaret and David Soukup, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Linda Riddle, Johnstown; grandchildren, Tracey Scialpi, Kellie (John) Thirkell, Michael Riddle, David (Pamela) Riddle, Jennifer (Vincent) Mock, Jonathan (Jennifer) Riddle, Jeffrey (Dorothy) Riddle, Scott (Joyce) Lichtenfels, Beth Lichtenfels, Marc (Lauren) Anderson, Matt (Grace) Anderson, Adam (Heather) Riddle, Amanda Riddle, Lori (David) Yutzey, Crystal (Andrew) Smith, Luke (Nikki) Good, and Joshua Good; 25 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren. He was a member of Westmont Presbyterian Church, where he had served as an Elder of the church and an assistant treasurer. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Craig Miller, officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff of Senior Life for the care given to him.
