SWEENEY- Betty L., 88, Johnstown. Went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital. Born September 2, 1929 in Johnstown. Daughter of Wilson and Martha (Kabler) Conner. Preceded in death by parents, husband of 60 years John W. and sisters Margaret “Peg” Fink and Martha Conner. Survived by children Patrick of Oklahoma City, OK, Kimberly married to John George of Johnstown, Joseph married to Elizabeth (Vizi) of Cary, NC, John Jr. “Jack” and fiancé Heather Miller of Johnstown, Michele married to James Serafin of Johnstown, Thomas married to Lynn (Hopper) of Cary, NC, David married to Christy (Clawson) of Johnstown, Stephen married to Jennifer (Weigle) of Johnstown and Christopher married to Jeana (Derricott) of Johnstown; 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sister Katherine Moore of Greensburg, special niece Pat Bair of Bowie, MD, and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Visitation of B.V.M. Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, craft shows and holidays with family. 1948 Johnstown High School graduate. Former employee of Penn Traffic Store. She loved all her children equally and proved it unselfishly till the end. The family would like to thank the staff of Select Specialty Hospital for their care given to Betty. Friends will be received from 2-8 Thursday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Funeral Mass at 10:00 Friday at Visitation of the B.V.M. Catholic Church, Father James L. Crookston.
