Anne M. (Guier) Ickes

Anne M. Ickes, 96, Johnstown, died November 15, 2017, at Arbutus Park Manor. She was born May 10, 1921, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Thomas and Hazel (Burns) Guier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle R. Ickes; a grandson, Brian Ickes; and sisters Kay Mapes and Lois Smith. She is survived by her children, Leigh Berghane, and husband, Dean, Tampa, FL; and Mark Ickes, and wife, Debby, Johnstown; grandchildren, Scott Berghane, Denver, CO; and Steve Berghane, and wife, Wendy, Lake Mary, FL; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Abby Berghane; sister, Alice Adams, Cleveland, OH;  and a brother, Thomas Guier, Jr. Green Valley, AZ. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved her family very much. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until the hour of service at 4 p.m. on Sunday at Henderson Funeral Home East Hills, 2503 Bedford St., Rev. John Hollis, officiating.
