Albert L. Fabina, 59, Conemaugh, entered into God’s Kingdom on October 3, 2017, at Memorial Medical Center, after complications related to a brief illness. He was born April 8, 1958, at Lee Hospital in Johnstown, son of Louis and Evelyn (Penrod) Fabina. Preceded in death by parents; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Jennie Fabina; maternal grandmother, Catherine Gatins and maternal step grandfather, John Gatins; maternal grandfather, Francis Penrod;  Uncle Joe Fabina; Aunt Frances Fabina; Uncle Anthony Fabina; Uncle Paul Fabina; Aunt LaVerna Silevinac and cousin, Michael Silevinac. Survived by daughter Jacqulin Fabina: sister, Judith Fabina; aunts, Bernadine Allen and Patricia Fabina; several cousins; and canine companions, Dori and Molly. He was a member of Church of the Transfiguration. Albert was a Bishop McCort  High School graduate with the Class of 1976. He worked for Gee Bees and Tresco Paving. Albert was a 16 year non-hodgkins cancer survivor. Albert’s passions in life include his love for animals, particular his dog , Bear, and was well known for taking animals in need of a loving home. He also loved football, especially the Steelers, and Penn State, and baseball where he loved going to Pirate games. Albert also loved to camp and spent much of his summers at Woodland Park Campground. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and sarcasm. He found humor in every situation and his quick wit will be greatly missed. Friends received from 5 until 8pm Thursday at Henderson-Makuchan Funeral Home, 434 First St., Conemaugh, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be held Friday at 10:30am at Church of the Transfiguration, with Father Robert C. Hall as celebrant.
